  • Everything Is Amazing, Nobody’s Happy

    March 2nd, 2009 § 3

This is part of why I love observational comedy.  In the middle of laughing my face off, I am struck by the profundity of the comedian’s thinking.  This is one of the best routine’s I’ve heard since early Carlin.

Good times and so true. I have to remind my kids that there wasn’t a lot of things they have and take for granted when I was growing up i.e. the internets, cell phones, jump drives, iPods, hand sanitizer etc.

The guy was a riot. Especially since I had a tough trip home from Haiti.

After Haiti, I don’t consider living off the grid so romantic anymore. It’s hard. It’s not fun. If our country is reduced to that so be it, but it won’t be something to look forward to.

They all have cell phones down there. Technology is generally a good thing.

My favourite part of the skit was when he talks about people complaining on the airplane. It really puts things into perspective when you look at it from his view. I mean, we really should be thankful for all the luxuries we enjoy.

When we take a leak, we pee into drinking water; how many places in the world do you flush down drinking water with your pee? It’s amazing how many little things we take for granted.
