I completely understand you not liking THAT cat. (And I'll stand by what I said before - that is hardly typical behavior for a cat.) I can also understand the allergy thing.

Let me put it this way. If you didn't have the allergies, there would be no reason for you to hate any of the cats that I have ever owned. That's not to say that you'd love one and want to adopt him or her, but none of them had any particularly objectionable personality traits. My last cat, and my current one, pretty much just like to chill out and hang out whenever we have company - hardly something to inspire one's wrath.

Dear Lance,
I really really really really really dislike cats. Cleaning up cat diarrhea 6x at my doorstep, doesn't help either. What does one do? wipe it up with a paper towel? Then what to do with the rancid paper towel? take a hose to it? then how to clean the splattered diarrhea when it goes everywhere and gets clogged in the small drain? This experience is similar to putting a bag of burning poop at someone's door. In fact, i may have preferred burning poop bc I might have laughed, but dont get any ideas...

oh yeah, and wanting to rip my eyeballs out from cat allergies doesnt help either.

But even dispite these things, i still really really really really really dislike cats.

While I realize that much of this is tongue-in-cheek, I never could understand how somebody could hate a type of animal. Well, maybe malaria-carrying mosquitoes, I suppose, but cats? I can understand up to a certain extent, as my aunt had a cat that I wanted to drop-kick across the room, but the entire species?

I've had cats all my life. I have one right now, and he's always there to greet me when I come home, and when he sits in my lap and purrs, it's very theraputic as it causes me to stop thinking about all of the things that stress me out and raise my blood pressure.

One thing I will say though is that cat owners need to keep their cats indoors. None of my neighbors will ever complain about my cat, as most of them doesn't even know of his existence. (Pretty much everybody who comes over likes him though, as he likes to hang out when we have company.)
